Graduation Day

{SS} here reporting to you from Eugene, OR where my brother {AS} is graduating from the University of Oregon today... Ah!

Anyways, unfortunately I'm discovering that it's not quite as easy to do these blog posts from my little android phone as I had hoped, so until I have access to my dad's computer in the next few days, these will be a bit short and sweet.
On Wednesday I'll get back to more stylish aspects... But in the meantime, a few highlights of what I packed:

* 2 pairs of pants (no jeans, though I may buy some in CA)

* 3 skirts: 1 floral patterned pull on skirt w/ deep purples, 1 navy skirt and 1 khaki skirt
* 4 dresses: 1 dressy linen spaghetti strap, 1 casual chambray, 1 long sleeve knit striped, 1 black knit with cut-out back that could be dressed up or down
* 2 pairs of shorts: 1 casual pair, 1 athletic pair
* 3 pairs of shoes: chacos (yes), super comfy brown wedge sandals, Tom's ballet flats (planning on buying a good pair of walking shoes in CA)
* floral silk bow sleeveless shirt
* button-down striped blue & white fitted oxford shirt
* 3 cardigans: black, lavender and graphite
* Lots of t-shirts and knit tops
And of course my headlamp which I don't leave home without :-)

I of course packed a bit too late so wish I would have packed a few more and different things, but I'm planning on picking up a few things in California.

I'll keep you posted and in the meantime I apologize for the poor quality and composure of this post... Just wanted to keep them coming!

 xo, SS

Yeah, Right.

{KH here}

May I vent for a moment?

Know what frustrates me about so-called fashion blogs? The fact that the author always looks stylish. Dressed to the nines in heels, beautiful clothes, baubles, great hair, and a full face of make-up. I love dressing, don't get me wrong, but there are days when I do not have the time nor the energy to put into the way that I look. Today is one of those days. When I opened my eyes I knew it was going to be the "...I am thinking extremely hard about calling in" kind of day. I laid in my bed for such a long time just feeling every bit of exhausted that I could muster. I finally decided that calling in was not an option and I just had to buck up and get out of bed.

Clearly, not the day for getting dressed. I wanted to be comfortable and presentable but nothing more. So I washed my face, threw my hair back, and put on a dress. I find it hard to believe that other bloggers don't have those sorts of days. So, why don't they ever show it?!

So, blogging friends, here I am. No makeup, dressed down, wearing chacos, and ok with it. Because we all have those days.
